Matan a transformista en San Félix
Siete disparos recibió Ramón Antonio Olivero, de 49 años. El hombre trabajaba como travesti. Su cuerpo fue encontrado en la vía principal de El Roble; policías presumen que compañeros del mismo oficio pudieron cometer el crimen. Hace seis meses también falleció a tiros uno de los hermanos menores de Ramón.

Representantes del Cuerpo de Investigaciones Científicas, Penales y Criminalísticas (Cicpc), de la mano con el Ministerio Público, iniciaron las investigaciones con relación al asesinato de Ramón Antonio Olivero Rodríguez, localizado semidesnudo con ropas de mujer la madrugada de ayer en la vía principal del sector El Roble, en San
Félix.
Olivero tenía 49 años y desde su adolescencia trabajaba de noche en diferentes avenidas de Ciudad Guayana. Con el nombre de Brilli se hizo conocer en el mundo de los travestis.
Una licra negra y una pañoleta en la cabeza era lo que vestía la víctima cuando recibió los siete balazos.
Transeúntes observaron el cadáver en medio de la vía y se comunicaron con el Centro de Emergencias del 1-7-1, el cual pasó el reporte a los funcionarios del Centro de Coordinación Policial (CCP) Guaiparo, que al trasladarse al sitio localizaron el cuerpo sin nadie a su alrededor.
Residentes del sector El Roble denunciaron que los alborotos que se arman todas las noches en la avenida son tremendos. Aseguraron que las peleas son entre las personas que trabajan en las noches por esa zona.
Por esa razón, las autoridades presumen que murió en una riña. Sin embargo, no descartaron que haya sido un cliente el homicida.

Serio de día

El transformista vivía con unos amigos desde hace cuatro meses en la invasión Fe y Esperanza del sector Guaiparo.
Vecinos de esa zona señalaron que Ramón era una persona seria y que a partir de las 6:00 de la tarde se transformaba. “De día andaba normal, serio pero a las seis lo veíamos salir con sus tacones, vestidos y pelucas. No era mala persona, todo lo contrario muy amigable”, comentó una vecina del sector.
Familiares de Olivero se enteraron del suceso cuando el cadáver ya se encontraba en la Medicatura Forense del Cicpc.
Dos de sus hermanos fueron los encargados de hacer el reconocimiento del cuerpo. Declararon ante los detectives de la Brigada Contra Homicidios, quienes también buscaron a otros travestis que pudieran aportar datos de interés para las investigaciones.

No es el primero

María Rodríguez, progenitora del fallecido, pidió justicia ayer desde una humilde vivienda propiedad de su madre. “Ya han matado a dos de mis muchachos, no tengo valor para ver a Ramón, yo quiero que se haga justicia, sean lo que sean son mis hijos y me duelen. No tengo nada, ni casa, sólo los tengo a ellos y me los están matando”.
Rodríguez señaló que hace seis meses mataron otro de sus hijos. Dixon José Márquez fue baleado el 14 de julio, día de su cumpleaños, cerca de la casa donde vivía con sus familiares, en la calle Unión del sector La Unidad, en San Félix.
“Por Dixon nadie hizo nada, no quiero que pase lo mismo con Ramón. Me he encargado de criarlos y pedirle a Dios por ellos. Siempre desde la puerta de esta casa me asomo a verlos montándose en los autobuses, pidiéndole a Dios que me los regrese con bien”.
María comentó que Ramón desde la adolescencia decidió aceptar su homosexualidad. Recordó que en varias oportunidades llegó a discutir con compañeros de oficio y hasta con sus clientes, la última vez fuehace unos meses cuando lo lanzaron de un carro.

46 cadáveres

Con el asesinato de Ramón Olivero se elevan a 46 las víctimas asesinadas en enero. Dieciséis de estos crímenes se han registrado en diversos sectores de Puerto Ordaz y el resto en zonas de San Félix. Hasta la fecha las autoridades siguen las investigaciones de la mayoría de los casos.

ENCONTROS GRIT ou o perpetuar dos preconceitos

O GRIT - Grupo de Reflexão e Intervenção sobre Transexualidade da Associação ILGA Portugal vai iniciar a partir de 4 de Fevereiro de 2012 um ciclo de Encontros destinados às pessoas transexuais. Os encontros serão realizados todos os primeiros sábados de cada mês (em que tal seja possível), sempre entre as 15h30 e as 18h, no Centro LGBT. Segundo os próprios “O objetivo desta iniciativa é criar um espaço que permita o apoio e o convívio entre esta população, através da partilha entre pares e do esclarecimento a partir de quem mais sabe.” “Estes Encontros pretendem criar um espaço, cuja falta é frequentemente sentida, que crie uma rotina e aproxime as pessoas transexuais - e onde todas elas possam ter voz e sentir-se à vontade.” “Os Encontros serão organizados em ciclos, com temas pré-definidos para cada encontro e, caso se justifique, com a presença de um convidado para nos informar e ajudar a refletir.”

Na teoria, tudo correcto. Efectivamente faz falta um espaço onde as pessoas transexuais possam partilhar experiências, ter voz e sentirem-se à vontade. Iniciativa de aplaudir, na continuação, aliás, dos encontros trans, também nos primeiros sábados de cada mês, denominados “Encontros de Convívio”, também no Centro LGBT, que se iniciaram em Maio de 2009, mas que segundo parece, acabaram.

O caso muda de figura quando a informação prestada refere que: “O primeiro encontro (4 de fevereiro) terá o tema "Processo de Transição" e contará como convidados com o Dr. Pedro Freitas, médico sexologista, e a Dra. Íris Monteiro, psicóloga clínica – ambos profissionais com experiência no acompanhamento clínico de pessoas transexuais.”

Primeiro, ponho muitas dúvidas que alguma pessoa transexual, pelo menos as que se encontram em plena transição, se sintam à vontade com a presença policial do Dr. Pedro Freitas e da Drª Íris Monteiro.

Ambos fazem parte de uma trilogia Freitas-Monteiro-Décio que, como se sabe, não descansaram enquanto não incluíram na lei de alteração de nome e sexo que os médicos e psicólogos habilitados a assinarem os relatórios tenham de pertencer a uma “equipa multidisciplinar de sexologia clínica”, de forma a não perderem o controlo sobre as pessoas transexuais.

Segundo, sabe-se bem que a medicina não tem respostas para a transexualidade. Não sabem porquê? como? quando? nem sequer existe um diagnóstico. Daí a avaliação feita pelos “peritos” seja sempre subjectiva, subordinada ao que consideram ser uma pessoa transexual. Logo uma avaliação sujeita aos mais diversos preconceitos que o avaliador possa ter.

Terceiro pela falta de uma orientação, tanto da Ordem dos Médicos como da Ordem dos Psicólogos, para que se usem critérios uniformes. Por exemplo, que a avaliação fosse feita de acordo com os Standards of Care da WPATH. Assim evitava-se o uso de critérios falseados (como a vontade de submissão a cirurgias) por uns e não por outros, fazendo que o psiquiatra ou psicólogo que calha a cada pessoa seja um pouco tipo lotaria: pode avaliar a identidade de género ou avaliar a vontade de submissão às cirurgias.

Quarto, sempre afirmei e afirmo que os verdadeiros especialistas sobre a transexualidade são as pessoas transexuais, não médicos e psicólogos que o pouco que sabem vem do que estudam e lêem. E aí estudam e lêem os preconceitos que outros antes deles escreveram. A informação recebida fica à priori corrompida por esses preconceitos, não é isenta.

Isto em relação aos especialistas em geral. Agora caso a caso.

Do Dr. Pedro Freitas sabe-se que tem umas opiniões contrárias aos Standards of Care da WPATH (World Professional Association for Transgender Health), apesar de ((pelo menos que eu saiba) pertencer a essa instituição (ou pelo menos estar lá inscrito), quando advoga que “um homem não deseja engravidar”.

Sobre isto já comentei anteriormente, mas vale sempre a pena desmontar estas teorias. Em primeiro lugar, biologicamente, um homem não pode engravidar, salvo os casos de homens transexuais. Logo, e a não ser nestes casos, não se pode falar de ser um caso de vontade. Pura e simplesmente não podem.

E como ficou bem expresso num debate sobre transexualidade na Faculdade de medicina da Universidade de Lisboa, em que o Dr. participou, ao perguntar à assistencia se algum homem desejaria engravidar, vários homens presentes, entre os quais o moderador, responderam afirmativamente. Logo, e caso existisse essa hipótese, alguns homens desejariam engravidar. Portanto a sua posição (partilhada pelo Dr. Décio e de certeza pela Drª Íris) nada mais é que o seu preconceito pessoal sobre este assunto.

Mais, se mais provas faltassem, basta pensar-se que a infertilidade feminina era, até há bem pouco tempo (e nem sei se ainda o é), motivo válido para divórcio. Se isto não é vontade de gerar descendência, não sei o que será.

Como conclusão, não respeita nem os Standards of Care, nem as considerações do comissário europeu Thomas Hammenberg, nem as directrizes europeias que apontam para a aceitação da identidade de género da pessoa, independentemente de cirurgias, tratamentos ou esterilizações forçadas.

Do Dr. Décio, que não posso deixar de mencionar aqui pela relação que tem com o Dr. e com a Drª, médico cirurgião conhecido pelo excelente trabalho nas cirurgias de correcção de sexo em Portugal, sabe-se que tem umas opiniões contrárias tanto aos Standards of Care mencionados, como ao trabalho feito pelo Dr. Harry Benjamin, que dedicou a sua vida a estudar estes casos e que chegou à conclusão de que nem todas as pessoas transexuais desejam submeterem-se à cirurgia de correcção de sexo, como às directrizes europeias.

Para o Dr. Décio, transexuais são só quem se quer submeter à cirurgia de correcção. As outras pessoas são falsos transexuais.

Posição semelhante tem a Drª Íris Monteiro. Numa das minhas consultas, depois de ter ficado “de molho” por causa da tromboflebite na perna direita que me valeu 5 dias de internamento hospitalar, nos corredores do Hospital Júlio de Matos, saiu-se-me com esta pérola: “Não tenho a certeza que deseje fazer a cirurgia”.

Vai daí, segundo informação do Prof. Dr. Rui Xavier Vieira, escreveu no processo que “não sou transexual”. Isto depois de eu ter feito a segunda opinião em Santa Maria, opinião essa que veio positiva. Como só faz a segunda opinião quem tem um parecer favorável (se existem dúvidas nem sequer se chega a fazer a segunda opinião), é de perguntar qual o motivo de tal alteração de opinião.

Até tive de engolir um sapo. O Prof. Dr. Rui xavier vieira mandou-me logo um “afinal falam tanto de mim e agora...”. E com toda a razão.

Sempre defendi e defendo que a vontade de uma pessoa se submeter às cirurgias não deve ser sintoma de transexualidade. Essa vontade é um resultado da transexualidade e como Harry Benjamin e a WPATH já descobriram, pode existir em maior ou menor grau, ou não existir de todo numa pessoa transexual. A avaliação deve unicamente ser sobre a identidade de género da pessoa em causa. Não deve ser por acaso que se chama “transtorno de identidade de género” ou “disforia de género” e não “transtorno genital” ou “disforia genital”. Por alguma razão o foco está no género/identidade de género e não na genitália.

Portanto esta alteração de posição terá a ver com o ter estado parada durante um ano, tempo necessário para que a minha perna regressasse ao seu tamanho original. Só aí me senti com forças para regressar ao activo, se bem que não me tenha impedido de escrever e criticar gestos e atitudes durante esse tempo.

Não posso deixar de lado a suspeita de que as minhas opiniões expressas quanto a este assunto, bem como sobre a transexualidade em geral, que debati com ela ao longo de 3 anos de consultas. Nem posso afastar o facto das minhas críticas a todos os psiquiatras e psicólogos, quando estes expressam opiniões em que encontro matéria para contradizer terem pesado para esta alteração.

Mas o mais incrível é que, e apesar de eu ter uma orientação sexual lésbica (sou sexualmente atraída por mulheres), a Drª Íris ter conseguido mudar a minha orientação sexual. Com efeito ela apontou nas suas notas que sou homossexual. Parece que para a Drª Íris, a orientação sexual é mutável. Evidentemente que não é por ela ter escrito este disparate que a minha orientação sexual mudou. Gosto de mulheres e continuo a gostar.

Esta deixou-me perplexa. Não entendia. Cheguei a pensar se a Drª. não se teria enganado e escrito no meu processo algo de outra pessoa qualquer.

A única explicação que encontrei para este estranho apontamento (graças a uma pessoa amiga que me lembrou) será o facto de eu gostar de outra mulher transexual. Como na altura ainda não tinha feito a cirurgia, para a Drª Íris, e apesar de ter o processo terminado, a outra mulher transexual é um homem. Logo, se eu não sou transexual (não pela minha identidade de género mas “por não ter a certeza da minha vontade em fazer a cirurgia”) e gosto de um “homem” só posso ser homossexual.

Tal coisa nem me passara pela cabeça, pois como vejo as mulheres transexuais como o que são, mulheres, nem me veio à cabeça que uma pessoa que se encontra a avaliar estes casos, olhasse para mulheres transexuais como homens.

A ser assim, penso nem ser necessário referir o desrespeito demonstrado pela Drª em relação a uma mulher transexual, com o processo terminado, ao considerá-la como “homem”, nem o (usual, pelos vistos) desrespeito pelos Standards of Care da WPATH, pelo trabalho do Dr. Harry Benjamin, e às directrizes europeias. Esta atitude demonstra mesmo um desrespeito pela comunidade transexual.

Como se vê, não basta terem-se cursos e “canudos” para se estar habilitado a tratar de certos assuntos. A Drª. Íris, apesar de possuir qualificações mais que as necessárias para poder tratar casos de transexualidade, por ser incapaz de ultrapassar os seus próprios preconceitos, não considero ser pessoa para tratar destes casos.

Se a ideia era diminuir-me ou calar-me, o estatuto que alcancei (seja ele qual fôr) não foi por falar contra isto ou contra aquilo (espero eu) mas pelo facto de que, em qualquer comentário que faço, digo a minha opinião sem receio e fundamento-a. Não falo só por falar, digo isto por aquilo, baseada naquilo, enfim. Não digo que é assim e não dou exlicações nenhumas. Por aí nada feito, tiro na água

Isto tudo faz com que, em vez de uma avaliação psicológica e psiquiátrica à identidade de género de uma pessoa, o que se passa em Portugal seja um policiamento do género para que não existam “mulheres com PI linha” nem “homens grávidos”, num completo e total desprezo pela identidade de género da pessoa em causa.

Mais grave é uma pessoa ter uma avaliação manifestamente preconceituosa e não ter a quem recorrer. Há que fazer algo como uma comissão que integre, por exemplo, elementos de grupos e associações trans juntamente com um médico e um psicólogo, para que no futuro exista um controle sobre os avaliadores, para que haja uma uniformidade de critérios e para que simpatias e preconceitos não influenciem a avaliação, que se deseja idónea e clara.

Assim, este encontro nada mais será do que o perpetuar de preconceitos conservadores emitidos pela polícia de género portuguesa nas pessoas do Dr. Pedro Freitas e da Drª. Íris Monteiro. E assim a ILGA Portugal associa-se ao perpetuar destes preconceitos através do seu grupo satélite, o GRIT, transformando o que poderia ser uma boa ideia e uma boa iniciativa num evento onde se vai dar voz à discriminação e ao preconceito.

Isto juntamente com as últimas posições conhecidas da ILGA Portugal torna pertinente a pegunta: Afinal a ILGA Portugal é a favor ou contra as pessoas trans? É que não pode continuar a afirmar que é pelas pessoas trans e depois vir dar voz ao preconceito. Não pega. Ou é pelas pessoas transexuais e nesse caso não pode sancionar nem dar voz a este tipo de preconceitos que vão contra todas os mais recentes desenvolvimentos mundiais, ou então que se afirme pelo preconceito e discriminação que assim já se compreende a voz dada a estes médicos e outras atitudes que tem tido.

Foi com agrado que vi a seguinte notícia do Dezanove sobre o discurso de agradecimento do jornalista Nuno Miguel Ropio na entrega dos prémios Arco-íris pela ILGA Portugal, que segundo tudo indica, foi a única personalidade premiada a focar os assuntos trans: Prémios Arco-Íris: Lei de Identidade de Género tem sido enviesada de forma "terrorista" pela Ordem dos Médicos (http://dezanove.pt/290950.html).

Não estive presente. Logo só posso falar pelo que saiu nos media.

Foi com expectativa que me dirigi à página do Facebook da ILGA Portugal, para ver o(s) vídeo(s) da cerimónia, pois queria confirmar as palavras de Nuno Ropio. Uma coisa é o que aparece escrito nos media, outra coisa é o que as pessoas dizem (acontece muitas vezes, até vezes demais).

Foi com frustação que reparei que no vídeo editado sobre a cerimónia, o discurso (que tudo indica ter sido dos mais reivindicativos) encontrava-se ausente.

Foi com desconfiança que procurei na dita página as duas notícias sobre o evento que o Dezanove publicou sobre o assunto.

Foi com uma sensação de certeza que notei que na página só se encontra uma única notícia sobre o evento: Prémios Arco-Íris com público recorde, que obviamente não tem referência a Nuno Ropio por este ser alvo de uma notícia separada. A notícia sobre o discurso mais assertivo da noite de Nuno Miguel Ropio não se encontra na dita página, pelo menos até à altura em que escrevo estas impressões.

É com uma sensação de tristeza que noto que a censura, depois de tantos anos a seguir a Abril de 74, ainda perdura em Portugal.

Não se concorda com a posição expressa de uma pessoa? Tudo bem, argumenta-se em contrário. Mas não se silencia assim ninguém. Salazar, Caetano e as técnicas de censura existentes no estado novo, em que só saía nos media o que o governo queria, esse tempo já acabou.

Ao censurarem um discurso que é contrário ao que acreditam, tomaram uma posição anti-democrática. Ao censurarem um discurso de uma pessoa a quem tinham acabado de premiar, desrespeitaram tanto o prémio dado como a pessoa em si. Para não falar da comunidade trans, que cada vez mais tem uma posição contrária à posição assumida pela ILGA Portugal. Não são poucas as pessoas activistas que ultimamente têm mudado de opinião.

Não é admissível este tipo de atitudes em 2012. Não estamos em 1920. O mundo evoluiu. As opiniões contrárias combatem-se, não pelo apagamento e censura, mas pela argumentação.

Não deixa de ser curioso o facto de Paulo Côrte-Real ter assumido um papel na ILGA Europe, que é apoiante da campanha para a despatologização da transexualidade e transgenderismo, enquanto a ILGA Portugal continua a ter uma posição patologizante e a ignorar propositadamente os atropelos feitos pelos psiquiatras e psicólogos às pessoas trans durante os processos que são forçados a fazer. Um pouco incongruente, é contra e assume um lugar numa associação a favor.

Fica aqui o meu repúdio, como activista transexual, como activista trans, como activista, como cidadã, por este apagamento deliberado de um discurso combativo e reivindicativo. Este procedimento é indigno de uma associação com o historial de luta por direitos humanos que a ILGA Portugal tem (sim, os direitos LGBT são direitos humanos) e um acto deste tipo lança uma grande mancha nesta associação

2011 acabou.

Como balanço de um ano que se revelou trágico em certos assuntos (a vinda da Troika, para a qual os portugueses não são pessoas mas simples factores de produção, a subida da direita PSD/CDS ao poder impulsionada por partidos que se dizem de esquerda, com as consequências já previstas: diminuição de direitos dos trabalhadores e cidadãos, o princípio do fim do SNS, em que a saúde deixa de ser um direito para passar a ser um bem de consumo, enfim...) e glorioso noutros (pelo menos em termos trans - a aprovação da lei de alteração de nome e género) ficam as seguintes notas:

O ano começou com a aprovação em Março da Lei de Alteração de Nome e Sexo, depois de ter sido rejeitada pelo Presidente da República com as mais absurdas justificações. Regressou ao Parlamento, foi novamente aprovada, regressou ao Presidente que (finalmente) a promulgou.

Este foi também o ano em que apareceram (mais) duas associações/grupos trans: a API - Associação Pela Identidade, que se tem mantido calma e quieta durante o correr do ano. Em princípio ainda existe.

O Grupo Transexual Portugal, que veio colmatar a necessidade de existência de um grupo não infiltrado pelas entidades psiquiátricas/psicológicas nem por associações e/ou grupos já existentes.

Foi também o ano em que, mais uma vez, as cirurgias de correcção de sexo no SNS pararam, devido à reforma do Dr João Décio Ferreira, que era quem as fazia. Supostamente iriam começar a ser feitas nos Hospitais da Universidade de Coimbra, facto que, depois de sucessivos adiamentos, ainda não se concretizou. Diria mesmo que não se vai chegar a concretizar.

Também as perguntas postas via email pelo Grupo Transexual Portugal aos HUC sobre as cirurgias e quem as faria ficaram sem resposta. Não augura nada de bom.

Mais para o final do ano, começaram a aparecer as falhas na lei, que têm posto os problemas mais variados a quem deseje alterar a suas documentação. Os mais evidentes são a menção de os médicos e psicólogos que assinam a declaração terem de pertencer a “equipa clínica multidisciplinar de sexologia clínica em estabelecimento de saúde público ou privado, nacional ou estrangeiro.”

Esta menção provocou uma listagem elaborada supostamente pela Ordem dos Médicos (mas que tem sido feita pelo Dr Décio) com os nomes de quem se encontra habilitado a assinar. Nessa lista existem nomes de psicólogos, aos quais a OM não pode habilitar a nada, visto existir uma Ordem dos Psicólogos, cabendo a esta a elaboração de tal listagem.

Existem também nomes de psiquiatras que, funcionando no privado e sem pertencerem a nenhuma equipa, se encontram habilitados a assinar.

Finalmente a OM (ou o Dr Décio) têm demonstrado uma incapacidade flagrante em actualizar a listagem, com a falta na dita lista de nomes que se sabe já tratarem destes casos desde antes do ano 2000.

As assinaturas de médicos estrangeiros, num claro desrespeito à lei, não têm sido aceites pelas conservatórias.

Denúncias de más práticas pelos profissionais do SNS e/ou privados tem vindo a público mas não tem recebido atenção mediática. As denúncias incluem o desrespeito pela Identidade de Género da pessoa, o desrespeito pelos Standards Of Care emitidos pela WPATH e o desrespeito pelas considerações do Comissário europeu Thomas Hammarberg em relação às pessoas trans (transexuais e transgéneras). Isto provoca uma apreciação deturpada e falsa da identidade de pessoas que se sujeitam a iniciar os processos no SNS ou no privado.

Não posso deixar de comentar aqui o facto de um obscuro suposto poema homofóbico publicado numa revista sem grande alcance social ter recebido a atenção suficiente para ser notícia, pelo menos num jornal, enquanto estes verdadeiros atropelos ás pessoas trans têm sido ignorados, tanto pelos media, como pelos grupos e/ou associações.

Por aqui se vê o nível de transfobia ainda existente em Portugal.

2012 anuncia-se como o primeiro dos anos horribilis que se avizinham, não são esperadas melhorias em nenhum assunto LGBT. Muito pelo contrário.
