Court: Pelting Gays With Eggs Protected Free Speech
Four of more than a dozen people arrested for throwing eggs at a gay pride march in Budapest on Saturday received minor fines on Wednesday, while charges against three others were dismissed and charges against the others were dropped.
Those fined were convicted only because they refused to obey a police order to disperse.
In delivering the verdicts in the case the court ruled that simply throwing eggs at a group you disagree with is simply an exercise in free speech Hungarian media reported Wednesday.

The theme of this year's March was "Marching for a Gender Inclusive ENDA"; hear over 30 minutes of audio on human rights issues: Maxine Dugan organizing for the legalization of prostitution in San Francisco; Vivien and Beck take the Human rights Campaign to task for supporting an ENDA (employment non-discrimination act) that excluded gender identity rights, speaking for a coalition working to secure transgender employment rights; Stephanie Shur and Ariana Davis of the World Gender Coalition speak out against systemic mental and physical health discrimination, a DSM IV manual is burned in protest; Ashley Love of MAGNET speaks on issues of discrimination and reads a poem.

San Fran activists protest HRC
Out in San Francisco, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) continues to deal with the fallout from its decision last fall to break with other national LGBT organizations and support a version of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) without trans-inclusive gender identity protections. A coalition of local organizations, including the activist group And Castro for All, the S.F. chapter of Pride at Work, and the Harvey Milk LGBT Democratic Club, are planning a July 12 protest outside HRC's retail store in the Castro. Protestors will hand out rainbow flag stickers and urge shoppers to substitute the rainbow for the ubiquitous HRC equal sign logo stickers.
Herrera to boycott HRC dinnerSan Francisco City Attorney Dennis Herrera has confirmed that he will boycott the Human Rights Campaign's gala dinner scheduled for July 26.
