Embassy rescues two from prostitution
The Indonesian Embassy in Moscow, Russia, rescued two Indonesian citizens who were trapped in a prostitution ring there, an embassy official said.
The Indonesian citizens, told the embassy they were tourists there when they were offered to join transsexual prostitution in Russia. Both of them said they had had a transsexual operation.

Mabel League objects to Outgames' trans policy
When Vancouver won the bid to host the 2011 North American Outgames, the fast-pitch softball Mabel League rejoiced and even considered signing up to host its softball tournament.
But the league's enthusiasm fizzled when it came across what it believed to be the Outgames' policy on FtM transgendered players transitioning with testosterone.
In a note to trans athletes, the Outgames 2011 homepage says, "The administration of testosterone would constitute a doping offence."

The Transgender Day of Remembrance was set aside to memorialize those who were killed due to anti-transgender hatred or prejudice. The event is held in November to honor Rita Hester, whose murder on November 28th, 1998 kicked off the “Remembering Our Dead” web project and a San Francisco candlelight vigil in 1999. Rita Hester’s murder — like most anti-transgender murder cases — has yet to be solved.
