Foi realizado na sexta-feira, 28, o 3º Seminário da Visibilidade de Travestis e Transexuais do Distrito Federal, organizado pelo Grupo Elos e pela Associação do Núcleo de Apoio e Valorização à Vida de Travestis, Transexuais e Transgêneros do Distrito Federal e Entorno (ANAV-TRANS). Representantes do governo e psicólogos se reuniram no auditório da CUT/DF para discutir a realidade das travestis e transexuais do Distrito Federal.

Traffic police arrested three cross-dressers and referred them to the Criminal Investigation Department, reports Al-Rai daily.
The three cross-dressers alleged that the arresting officers referred them to the Traffic Department in South Surra and forced them to dance in the car parking area and that one of them shot in the air. The cross-dressers said the officers promised to release them if they liked their dance.

Three eunuchs raped in Pakistan
Three eunuchs, who had gone to perform at a wedding in Pakistan's Punjab province, were abducted and raped by armed men, police said.
The incident took place in Dera Ghazi Khan District where the three eunuchs had gone to take part in a wedding ceremony.

Investigate Murders of Transgender Women
The Honduran government should ensure a prompt and thorough investigation of the recent murders of transgender women and bring those responsible to justice, Human Rights Watch and Red Lésbica Cattrachas, a Honduran lesbian rights organization, said today. Six transgender women have been murdered in Honduras since November 29, 2010, with the latest killing on January 17, 2011.

La Federación Argentina de lesbianas, gays, bisexuales y trans, y ATTTA (Asociación de travestis, transexuales, transgéneros de Argentina) informan que en el Diario Digital Transexual, dirigido por la reconocida actriz y activista española Carla Antonelli, asume y apoya "sin fisuras" la Ley de Identidad de Genero presentada por la FALGTB y ATTTA por "ser una normativa que amplia derechos, pero sobre todo, porque tal como declaró arropa de DIGNIDAD a mujeres y hombres transexuales y/o travestís y/o transgeneros".
