Em Janeiro de 2011 um polícia afirmou em Toronto que as mulheres devem evitar vestir-se de forma provocante se não quiserem ser violadas. A SLUTwalk Lisboa junta-se à vaga de indignação que esta afirmação causou um pouco por todo o mundo.

Recusamos totalmente a culpabilização das mulheres face a situações de violência sexual. Recusamos a cumplicidade com a agressão e com quem agride, seja pelo silêncio ou pela benevolência. Recusamos a objectificação e mercantilização dos corpos das mulheres. Mude-se as leis, mude-se quem agride. Mude-se a cultura patriarcal que diz às mulheres para não serem violadas, em vez de dizer aos homens para não violarem.

Mude-se a moral dominante, segundo a qual SLUTs somos todas nós, mulheres casadas, solteiras, viúvas ou divorciadas, heterossexuais ou lésbicas, bissexuais, assexuais, com ou sem companheirxs, monogâmicas ou não, com ou sem filhxs. SLUTs são todas as mulheres que não inibem gestos, emoções, desejos ou vontades, que vestem, falam e vivem de acordo com os seus próprios padrões, que se não vergam à moral dominante.

Se SLUT – galdéria, desavergonhada, puta, descarada, vadia, badalhoca, fácil – é uma mulher que decide sobre o seu corpo, sobre a sua sexualidade, e que procura prazer, então, somos SLUTs, sim!

Não queremos piropos sexistas, não queremos paternalismo, não queremos violência sexual. Dizemos não, por mais cidadania. Dizemos não, por mais democracia. Dizemos não, por mais liberdade.
