O GRIT - Grupo de Reflexão e Intervenção sobre Transexualidade da Associação ILGA Portugal irá realizar, no próximo dia 20 de Novembro , no Centro LGBT (Rua de S. Lázaro, 88, Lisboa), uma vigília em memória das pessoas trans assassinadas por motivação transfóbica ao longo de 2012.

O DIA DA MEMÓRIA TRAS (International Transgender Day of Remembrance) é assinalado todos os anos, em Novembro, em homenagem a Rita Hester - uma mulher trans assassinada em 1998 nos EUA, e em memória de tod@s aquel@s que perdem a vida, ano após ano, vítimas do ódio e da transfobia.

Segundo os dados divulgados pela Transgender Europe, foram contabilizadas mais 265 pessoas trans assassinadas desde o último Dia da Memória. Porque todas estas pessoas precisam ser relembradas, lamentadas e homenageadas, junte-se a nós e traga uma vela para acender em sua memória.

*Esta iniciativa irá contar também com uma performance musical, a cargo de SiRo.
