ILGA: 76 countries ban gay sex, 7 have death penalty
ILGA -- the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, and Intersex Association -- has released the fourth edition of its massive "State Sponsored Homophobia" report. The most significant change in the new edition: One-sixth of the world’s gays and lesbians were emancipated when India’s Delhi High Court legalized gay sex last July.

Pakistani trans couple locked up for 'gay' wedding
A man and a trans woman are in custody for holding a 'gay' wedding in Pakistan.
Malik Muhammad Iqbal is accused of marrying a trans woman known only as Rani in a ceremony in Peshawar last week.
In the eyes of local police, this is seen as a gay wedding. Homosexuality is illegal in Pakistan and is punished by up to ten years in jail.
Rani, a 19-year-old who was born male but lives as a woman, says 42-year-old Iqbal, a fertiliser dealer, is a friend, not a lover.

China Launches School for "Sissies"
A Chinese elementary school has launched a program aimed at feminine-acting boys called “Looking for a Real Man” amid fears the young students are turning into sissies.
The initiative launched at Qinlinglu Elementary School in Zhengzhou in the Henan province. According to the Dahe Daily, in the program, “youngsters are taught how to act more masculine and must take an oath swearing to act like real men.”

I think there is a reason there is a separate growing Trans movement that exists outside of the LGBT and that's because it has to just to get anywhere. Transgender people (especially trans women) are highly under represented in LGBT orgs. This means their opinions are often not heard nor are they involved in decisions that directly affect them.

Police Reportedly Ask Transgender Topless Sunbathers To Put Tops Back On
Rehoboth Beach lifeguards requested police assistance late Saturday afternoon for a situation involving a group of transgender men who had their breasts exposed according to a report by the Rehoboth Weekend Update.
The on-line publication reported that the incident happened by the surf near Queen Street around 4:45 p.m.
The report says that a lifeguard reported having an ‘odd problem’ involving 'girls' on the beach with their tops off.

Tyler McCormick took home the title of International Mr. Leather in Chicago Sunday, setting precedent in several ways for the 32-year-old global contest.
A female-to-male transgender man who uses a wheelchair, McCormick, who was Mr. Rio Grande of New Mexico, beat 50 other contestants for the title.
