Born With the Wrong Body
This past Christmas, Riley Grant received a present that can be described as bittersweet -- a video game that allowed her to morph a digital body into anything she wanted. Almost immediately, Riley, a 10-year-old transgender girl who is biologically a boy, adopted a virtual female persona. If only life were so easy, that she could punch a button and turn into a girl.

Checking Boxes; Transgender Chic
Excerpt: While these ideas didn't hold much sway among ordinary Americans, they've become articles of faith on college campuses and among elites. They've been added to another staple of postmodern thought, identity politics, which views membership in a particular group as the basis for all action. The result is separate dorms for "transgender students" - that is, men who choose to be feminine and women who choose to be masculine. . .If this sounds absurd to you, you're not alone. Phillip Johnson tells a story in his great book The Right Questions about a fellow faculty member at Berkeley who taught his students the postmodern line. Then his son began crossdressing, and dad, despite his proclamations, was embarrassed to introduce him at a dinner party. All the young man was doing, of course, was following his father's teaching.

Transsexuals, Transgenders, and Crossdressers
I am a woman born transsexual. What benefit is it to me to gather under a gender-spectrum, politically correct Capital T with transgenders choosing to live as another gender, crossdressers who change their outward presentations whenever they wish, bearded men in dresses, transvestite fetishists, chicks with dicks, silicon breasted street hookers, pseudo-revolutionary gender fuckers, and me? None.

Transgendered individuals need universal support
Like foreigners in their own skin, transgendered people suffer from massive confusion, verbal and physical abuse, and struggles with acceptance. Many know about gay people, lesbians and bisexual people, but little is known about people who identify themselves as transgendered. "Transgender" is a term used to encompass people who do not identify well with the genders they were born as. Since not much is known about transgendered people, they lack certain rights and are often discriminated against. With education and more tolerance, more legal rights for these people should be made possible.
