A new and positive change will soon be underway in the workplace. Legal representatives of President Obama are brainstorming guidelines to stop the discrimination of transgender employees.
“The president is making a very clear statement that transgender people won’t be discriminated against,” explained
Mara Keisling, the supervisor of the National Center for Transgender Equality.

A public hearing will be held this week on a controversial Massachusetts bill that would ban discrimination based on transgender status.
The bill would add "gender identity and expression" to the state's discrimination and hate crime laws. But opponents have dubbed it a "bathroom bill" and say it could open women's bathrooms to sexual predators.
