Na segunda edição do reality show musical Ídolos, da Rede Record, uma travesti surpreendeu os jurados e foi aprovada para a segunda fase do programa com unanimidade. Aos 20 anos, essa foi primeira vez que a transgênero Lívia Mendonça se apresentou em público. “Não canto para ninguém, só resolvi cantar para o Ídolos. Os dois policiais reconhecidos por um vídeo (abaixo) enquanto arrastavam uma travesti pelos cabelos na cidade de Toleto, em Alagoas, foram afastados de suas funções enquanto o processo interno contra ambos se desenrola. Além de afastados de seus serviços, eles serão obrigados por durante 30 dias a prestar serviços administrativos no quartel.

Three months later, Metzler, was unemployed and homeless. Although her boss had supported her coming out as transgender, clients began shunning the small, home-inspection enterprise after the picnic. The struggling business let Metzler go.
