O antropólogo e fundador do Grupo Gay da Bahia (GGB), Luiz Mott, declarou que a partir de 2012 a entidade não irá mais contabilizar o número de homossexuais assassinados no país.
Em carta enviada à 2ª Conferência Nacional de Políticas Públicas e Direitos Humanos LGBT, Mott afirma que quem deve realizar esse levantamento é o governo federal, já que não promove iniciativas para criminalizar ataques contra homossexuais.
