O GRIT - Grupo de Reflexão e Intervenção sobre Transexualidade da Associação ILGA Portugal vai promover, no próximo dia 19 de maio às 21h00, no Centro LGBT, a tertúlia "Políticas Trans: Qual o Futuro?" , integrada nas comemorações do Dia Internacional contra a Homofobia e Transfobia.
Que políticas para combater a Transfobia? Num contexto comum a Portugal e Espanha, onde vigoram Leis de Identidade de Género que procuram garantir o direito à identidade das pessoas transexuais, que passos faltam ser dados para conquistar uma cidadania plena? Quais os caminhos para garantir a todas as pessoas transexuais cuidados de saúde adequados e respeitadores da sua autonomia?
Para esta reflexão teremos a participação de Carla Antonelli , ativista trans espanhola e deputada a Madrid pelo Partido Socialista Obrero Español (PSOE).

The sign on the window of Massage Envy in Lincoln says "No Hiring," but 19-year-old Ariel Hawkins says that wasn't the case.
On April 24, Ariel, born Andrew, was hired to be a sign swinger. After the offer was made, Ariel was honest and told the manager she was transgender.
"I had told the manager I was a male to female transgender and that I was going to be starting hormones soon," Hawkins told FOX40. Four and a half hours later, Ariel says the job offer was pulled via telephone.

Argentina’s Senate passed the law on May 9th, with 55 votes in favor, one abstention and no votes against. The vote itself is remarkable.
