Ambulatório de Saúde Integral de Travestis e Transexuais do Estado de São Paulo: relatório de duas visitas (2010-2012)
Tendo como base o Processo Transexualizador, este relatório reúne as observações de duas visitas ao Ambulatório de Saúde Integral de Travestis e Transexuais do Estado de São Paulo (ASITT). A primeira (2010) ocorreu um ano após a sua implantação, quando ainda se buscava conhecer melhor seu público-alvo e alguns modelos de atendimento eram testados; a segunda (2012), através de entrevistas, visou conhecer a autocrítica de gestores e profissionais para a sua prática clínica. À luz dos princípios da Bioética, foram observadas: atenção em saúde mental, prescrição da hormonioterapia e demais intervenções médico-cirúrgicas. Priorizaram-se as perspectivas de seus profissionais de saúde quanto à: (i) compreensão para as singularidades e especificidades de travestis e transexuais; e (ii) capacitação para valorar e diferenciar conceitualmente identidades de gênero percebidas como um desafio à lógica heteronormativa.
